Pleated Sheer Door

Softer Light, Full Airflow, No Bugs

A pleated sheer door combines insect screening with a light-filtering sheer fabric, so you get fresh air and softened daylight through the same retractable panel. It's a good fit for openings where you want more than plain mesh, but still want the screen to disappear when you don't need it.

Sun Peak Shade & Screen installs pleated sheer doors custom fit to your opening, with the same one-hand operation and slim retracting housing as our other screen doors.

Why Choose a Pleated Sheer Door

Standard insect mesh does its job, but it's a fairly stark grid when you're looking through it. Sheer fabric softens that view while still letting air move through, which makes it a popular choice for entries and living spaces where the screen is visible from inside as much as it's used for airflow.

Like our other retractable doors, the pleated sheer door folds compactly to one side and can cover openings a standard flat screen can't.

Explore Other Screen Styles

If you want a straightforward insect mesh instead of a sheer fabric, or need a system for garages and other large openings, we also install standard retractable screens and Zig Zag pleated screens using the same quality components.

Serving the Salt Lake Valley

Sun Peak Shade & Screen installs pleated sheer doors throughout Salt Lake City, Draper, Sandy, Lehi, Orem, and Park City. Call us to talk through your entryway and we'll help you find the right fit.

Built for Utah's Conditions

The sheer fabric is treated to resist UV fading and holds up through Utah's dry heat and temperature swings, and the aluminum track hardware resists the dust and wind exposure common along the Wasatch Front. Installation follows the same process as our other screens - on-site measurement, custom fabrication, and a clean professional install, backed by a lifetime warranty on parts and one year on mesh.
